Fast Food

Les dejo los principales datos que habría que estudiar de esta gran fotocopia:
  • Fast food restaurants are open a lot of hours a day, so they have lower prices.
  • They don't buy any forks, knives, plates or cups, so they don't wash them.
  • They sell only a few kinds of food.
  • The jobs are easy, they don't need chefs, just people who knows the job.
  • People stay only a few time.
  • There isn't any waiters. You go, ask for food and take your meal to your table.
  • When you walk in, the kitchen is already working, and your food is already being cooked.
  • You can see the kitchen and check it's clean.
  • You don't need to put your best clothes to go to a fast food place.
  • In the restaurants you can't speak louder, you have to be quiet. In fast food places it doesn't matter.
  • Fast food places are the same in every place of the world. The food is the same, just with different names.
  • The fast food place shows you the pictures of the meals, so you won't have problem with the language.
  • McDonald's opened their first fast food restaurant in April 1955, now they have over 7000 McDonald's in over 31 countries.
  • When you sell fast food on wheels you have to learn about crowds.
  • John Montagu asked for a peace of meat between two breads, and he maked the "Sandwich" (he was the 4th Earl of the Sandwich).
  • Now, we can put different fillings between the sandwiches.
  • Butter gives a better taste to the sandwiches, and the bread won't get wet.
  • The "Hot Dog" was originally called "Frankfurter".
  • It was very similar to a long German dog. And the Frankfurter (from Frankfurt city) was hot. So it's the "Hot Dog".
  • The Hamburger comes from the Hamburg city, in Germany.
  • Egg + Meat + Breads = Eggburger
  • Fish + Breads = Fishburger
  • Harlan Sanders was who created the "Kentucky Fried Chicken".
  • Milk shakes have different tastes: fruit, coffee, etc.
  • They come in big glasses.
  • Pemberton created a new drink from the Coca plant and Cola nuts. A friend told him: "Why not just call it Coca-Cola?".
  • Brad created a drink too, but "Brad's drink" was not a good name, so he called it "Pepsi-Cola".

Saludos.
